About Kingrich Foundation

We equip young people in Ghana with the knowledge, confidence, and opportunities to build futures they choose for themselves.

Since 2023, we have worked in Dodowa in Greater Accra and Ho in the Volta Region, on a simple premise: young people are not short on ability. They are short on access — to training, to mentors, to the resources that turn potential into a career. Our work closes that gap.

What we do

We run technology expos that let students see and handle emerging technology for the first time. We deliver hands-on training so they can build with it. We connect them to mentors who have walked the path ahead of them. And working with our partners, we open doors to scholarships and educational resources that would otherwise stay closed.

We work with students at every stage — from Kingrich Academy through high school and into university — because the gap does not close at one point. It has to be closed all the way along.

We also address the practical barriers that keep young people out of school in the first place. Many students walk long distances to class, and without shoes, that walk becomes a reason not to go. More than a thousand pairs later, it is one less reason.

And sometimes the barrier is simply that the equipment is not there. In 2024, we donated ten desktop computers and software worth $10,000 to a government school in Ho. The school had never had a computer before. Its students now do.

Why it matters

A young person who gains a technical skill does not only change their own prospects. They become someone their siblings watch, their neighbours ask for help, and their community can build around. Education and mentorship compound. That is why we invest in them.

Where we work

We work in two communities in Ghana: Dodowa, in the Greater Accra Region, and Ho, in the Volta Region.

We chose depth over spread. Working closely in a small number of places means we know the schools, the teachers, and the students by name — and we can see what our programs actually change. As our capacity grows, we intend to reach further across Ghana and, in time, into other African countries.

Our story

Kingrich Foundation was founded in 2023 by George Legbedze, out of a straightforward observation: Ghana's education system was not giving students the technology they need. The gap was never one of ability. It was one of exposure — students moving through school without ever touching the tools their careers would eventually be built on.

We started with what was within reach. Technology training and mentorship for students at Kingrich Academy, and for high school and university students alongside them. And two technology expos in our first two years, opening the door a little wider each time.

Three years on, that work has reached more than 400 students in Dodowa ,Accra and Ho.
